Create and use a project
- Choose Projects in the sidebar.
- Enter a New project name and choose New project.
- Open the project and inspect its Chats section.
- Use project actions to Rename, Pin, or Unpin it as your work changes.
- Use Search projects to narrow the project list.
A chat’s Remove from project control changes its collection membership. It is different from deleting the conversation. Read any delete confirmation before removing a project; do not assume it is equivalent to hiding a card.
Find and export a conversation
- Open History and use Search conversations.
- Open the chat to confirm it is the one you need.
- Use its rename or pin controls for organization.
- Choose the export action and the offered Markdown or Text format.
- Inspect the resulting file before sharing it, especially if the conversation contains private text or attachments.
A text export is not a backup of every workspace file, provider credential, or model state. Code session references and native coding-tool imports are separate features.
Understand deletion
Deleting a conversation removes its retained messages rather than merely unpinning it. Settings → History → Clear all conversations affects Chat history broadly and requires confirmation. Export what you need before deliberately clearing history.
